The ECONOMUSEE® Network Society (ENS) is an international non-profit organization founded in 1992 and based in Quebec City, Canada. It is also the creator, owner and promoter of the ECONOMUSEE® concept and its five other concepts living under its experience brand Artisans à l’oeuvre/Artisans at work.
To promote intangible cutural heritage as a vehicule for cultural pride and social economic benefits.
To assist and support artisan-entrepreneurs and organizations in their efforts to preserve, showcase and share their know-how and passion to visitors.
To be a driving force for change and prosperity, contributing expertise and proactivity to the entrepreneurial development of local and international artisans, and to the sustainable and responsible development of tourism offerings.
The ENS is currently active with partners in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, the Atlantic, Haïti, the Caribbean, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Greenland.

The partner companies are valuable collaborators of the ENS in the development of the Artisans at work network around the world. SRÉ is a multidisciplinary team based in Quebec (Canada) that puts the craftsman at the heart of its interventions to define his tourism project, to implement the ÉCONOMUSÉE® concept (or other concept), to accompany the craftsman in his entrepreneurial journey to create a real experience for the visitor during his visit. Since 2013, Carl-Éric Guertin has been General Manager of the Société du réseau ÉCONOMUSÉE (SRÉ), overseeing the organization’s development in Quebec, Canada and internationally. Created in 1992, the non-profit SRÉ is the founder, owner and promoter of the ECONOMUSEUM® concept. Now an international organization headquartered in Quebec City (Canada), SRÉ is a network of partners who share the same goals: the pursuit, protection and promotion of traditional crafts and know-how in the arts and crafts and agri-food sectors.
Carl-Éric Guertin has twenty-five years’ experience in management positions within business associations. A recognized developer and visionary, an agent of change, a leader with a collaborative approach, passionate about strategic planning and implementation, motivated by economic, regional and sustainable development, he is highly skilled in public speaking, persuasive communication and the creation of mobilizing partnerships.

Director of the Artisans à l’œuvre experience and business development since 2022, Mélanie Dassylva has a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s in museology.
In 2018, she completed a certificate in project management to further her knowledge in the field and improve her methods of project realization.
Drawing on her experience as a project manager for various museums and cultural organizations, she has taken under her wing the design, coordination and realization of the largest economuseum projects of recent years, in addition to various mandates with non-profit organizations and municipalities.

With a DEC in media communications, a Bachelor’s degree in management and a Master’s degree in management and sustainable development from HEC Montréal, Sarah has solid experience in the management and development of agrotourism experiences. She specializes in communications, marketing, business management and sustainable development. She has developed in-depth expertise in food production and processing, communications and brand development, agrotourism and indoor urban agriculture. Sarah aspires to create synergies, aim for operational efficiency and improve the performance of the organizations with which she collaborates. She undoubtedly brings complementary expertise to the team and to our members seeking personalized support to structure and grow their organizations.

Mireille Bélanger holds a bachelor’s degree in visual communications from Université Laval, as well as a college diploma in graphic design from Collège Ahuntsic. She began her career in the corporate world, developing visuals for clothing lines. She has accumulated notable experience in creating visual content for signage and display products. Since 2016, she has been part of the SRÉ team, designing and producing visual content and interpretive material for artisan members, as well as creating presentation documents. She has contributed to all of SRÉ’s museological projects over the past 7 years.

Joanie, with a graduate degree in museology and a passion for North American Francophonie and its associated culture, is a jack-of-all-trades who enjoys exploring various types of crafts. With several years of experience in coordinating public markets and other epicurean events, she is always eager to share her latest local discoveries.
In addition to her work in the agri-food industry, focusing on cheese and wine, she has spent the past six years gaining museum experience as a guide at the National Battlefields Commission (Plains of Abraham), leading historical activities. Working part-time at SRÉ since November 2023, Joanie officially joined the development team full-time in April 2024.

Nency has over twenty years’ experience in the world of cultural, museum and commercial exhibits, interpretation projects, themed sets and more. She has held a variety of positions that have enabled her to acquire a number of complementary skills, and within the team, she puts all her knowledge and versatility to good use.

A graduate of the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Québec in scenography, Mylène has distinguished herself through her experience designing sets and lighting for various shows in Quebec City. Her academic background also includes a DEC in Visual Arts and an AEC in Stage Lighting Techniques. Passionate about the world of art, design and craft, she has worked on a number of theatrical projects, notably as a scenic painter, developing a great deal of versatility. Curious and open to collaboration, she particularly enjoys working with creative teams. Ecodesign, a central aspect of her artistic approach, reflects her commitment to a sustainable and thoughtful approach to the realization of her projects.

Cindy Vaillancourt has 17 years’ varied professional experience, mainly in the agri-food, forestry and tourism sectors. With a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a master’s in organizational management, she has held senior positions in several large organizations. In addition to her extensive experience in marketing, project management and entrepreneurship, she brings dynamism and a touch of professionalism to all her projects.
In 2022, she joined the Société du réseau Économusée® after working on and implementing a tourism concept for a member of the network.

Patrick-Olivier Meunier holds a master’s degree in museology and a D.E.S.S. in management of cultural organizations, and has been a museologist with SRÉ since March 2021. He has in-depth knowledge of exhibition creation, mediation and the management and development of tangible and intangible collections. Due to his experience in the field, he has solid skills in the development of various exhibition projects, documents, and activities related to mediation, education, exhibitions as well as museum management in all its forms.

Pauline joined the SRÉ team since January 2024. She holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Museology, which has opened the doors to several museums in Quebec and its surroundings. Throughout her experiences, she has been able to develop her skills in various aspects of exhibition creation, ranging from scenography to research, writing, and graphic design. These skills now form the foundation upon which she builds unique and authentic exhibitions.
What drives Pauline is the diversity of the subjects she works on. She loves delving into research to explore new topics, as she is eager to learn and discover new things. Her insatiable curiosity drives her to fully immerse herself in each project, which is reflected in the quality and originality of her work.

Originally from Brazil, she is able to converse in a variety of different languages, as required: French, English, Spanish and Portuguese.

She is also deeply involved in the craft world, being a visual artist herself with unique textile works.

She stands out for her strategic analysis and ability to rally a group around complex issues. She was Deputy Minister of International Relations (1996-1999) and then headed the Quebec Office in Barcelona.
Don is a member of the network as owner of Amos Pewter and its Pewterer ÉCONOMUSÉE® concept. He is a businessman who has invested in several companies in the Atlantic provinces.
She has been Executive Director of the Cree Outfitting and Tourism Association for over 23 years.
CPA and experienced CFO in distribution and retail. She has more than 25 years' experience, and joined Distillerie Grand dérangement - Distiller ÉCONOMUSÉE® as General Manager.
Originally from British Columbia and a QC resident for 40 years, this retired English teacher volunteers in cultural activities.
Étienne Alary is General Manager of Parallèle Alberta. He works in the French-speaking minority community and supports the development of the network in the province of Alberta.
Based in Norway, she brings a European perspective to the board. She takes a keen interest in local mobilization to develop a model of well-being and sustainable development.
