Nouvelles du réseau
2 August 2023
This summer, discover or rediscover ÉCONOMUSÉE® businesses in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region by visiting the new products for the 2023 summer season. What could be better than a roadtrip around Lac Saint-Jean to see what’s new at artisans belonging to the ÉCONOMUSÉE® network?
Les Délices du Lac-Saint-Jean
Albanel
Les délices du Lac-Saint-Jean, known for years in the region for its blueberry products and U-pick, now has a new address. The new location, on the edge of the blueberry cycle route, has enabled the installation of a bike stop offering tools and a self-service air pump. Already popular with users of the véloroute, the bike stop also includes a new, innovative rest area for cyclists to take a break from the road.
When you come by bike, you can now have your selection of products delivered straight to your home, so you don’t have to!
And that’s not all: on the main site, new content, sought after and requested by visitors, has been added, such as: the influence of climate change on blueberry growing; the sustainable development aspect of the business; blueberry growing conditions; the impact of the blueberry market for the region and beyond; the company’s new products and their manufacturing process; the redesign of the tasting concept.
And let’s not forget the gourmet component, an enhanced on-site tasting offer featuring a toast bar for sampling different blueberry products. A new boutique area has also been designed to showcase the products.

À l’Orée des Champs

This century-old family-run business specializes in lamb products and country-style dining, and is also known for showcasing its artisanal infrastructure and the wood from the local land, creating a unique, warm and majestic setting.
Now the ECONOMUSEUM® of lamb charcuterie, À l’Orée des Champs offers guided and audio-guided tours. These tours highlight the meat preparation laboratories, with a view of the artisan. On-site family heritage interpretation trails and a farmhouse enhance the experience, which is accessible even to the mobility-impaired.
