The Ricaneux adventure began in 1973, when Jacques McIsaac acquired a farm with his wife, Madeleine Roy. Proud of the heritage passed down from his maternal grandmother, Carmel Martin, Jacques decided to continue the family tradition and make wines and liqueurs from the fruit harvested on his land.
After four years of many trials and much laughter, he came up with an aperitif, Le Ricaneux, which lends the company its name. In 1988, Le Ricaneux obtained an artisan producer’s license, making it the oldest company of its kind still in operation. Now managed by Nathalie McIsaac, she continues the creative adventure of her parents.
The Ricaneux experience is authentic, friendly and modern, yet respectful of tradition. It's the perfect place to enjoy and to explore. Activities include self-guided or guided tours, discovery of our seasonal fruits, an overview of our production processes experienced through the magic of virtual reality, and tasting sessions. There is also an interpretive trail, a picnic area and a terrace to enjoy.
The Ricaneux transforms seasonal berries into a range of fine products designed to appeal to a gourmet and connoisseur clientele. These include aperitifs, fine liqueurs and other delicacies, such as jellies, vinegars and confit products. Proud of the region and its fertile land which promote a culture respectful of nature, Le Ricaneux offers products of incomparable flavour.
