Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk is passionate about artisan traditions, and everything made here is a handicraft made with the pride of over four generations. Hillesvåg’s production is of the highest quality, and the company manufactures wool and yarn for quality-conscious customers both locally and abroad. The factory's roots date back to 1898 and many of the machines are over 100 years old. Over the years, the factory has grown and expanded with changing times and trends, and it now houses all the necessary equipment for the production of wool and yarn.
The experience
You will be shown the process of pulling wool from start to finish, allowing you to understand how wool becomes a soft, colourful yarn. A truly immersive experience.
