It was mother-in-law who sold her vegetables, fruits, and maple products. Artisan Karine Daigle began transforming the unsold surplus to avoid waste. From marinades to jams, the enterprise, named Compliments de Belle-Maman, focuses primarily on canning local fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Karine is committed to preserving the legacy of traditional family recipes through each of her preserved products. Each creation, infused with authenticity and craftsmanship passed down through generations, celebrates her culinary heritage with every bite, evoking memories of family and home.
The experience
Compliments de Belle-Maman provides a comprehensive experience for visitors through a self-guided tour, blending traditional and digital elements, to learn about canning processes and local producers. It includes both indoor and outdoor routes, as well as online content for further exploration.

The Compliments de Belle-Maman shop offers a delicious selection of carefully prepared products made on-site. Visitors can also discover other delights from local producers, primarily from Île d’Orléans.
