Giuseppe Benedetto, stonecutter and glassblower, creates highly original decorative objects. His goal: to capture and stop time in an object.
Across from a majestic fjord, Giuseppe Benedetto, Italian by birth but firmly rooted in Québec, has been practising his craft for 40 years. In his workshop, this tireless craftsman transforms many different types of stone from Québec and elsewhere into jewelry, decorative or utilitarian objects, as well as original works of art. Come and watch him cut, polish and engrave stones, including amazonite, hypersthene and labradorite. You can even participate in some of the transformation steps, working the beautiful materials alongside a master artisan.
The experience
During your visit, discover how fine stones are worked. You will be impressed by the level of skill required to create decorative objects or jewellery. Guiseppe will tell you his story and invite you into his world.
The products
Always in search of new shapes, the glass sculptor creates a wide variety of products using different manipulation, colouration and firing techniques. Come visit the artisan in his shop and admire his one-of-a-kind works which are comprised of materials such as silver, gold, granite, glass, aluminum, bronze, and steel.
