In Cow Head, on Newfoundland's Gros Morne coast, Veronica keeps a time-honoured fibre craft alive, from the first wash of a fleece to spinning, dyeing and the final knitted piece. A knitter first and foremost, she learned the craft as a child at her grandmother's side. To keep her wool entirely local, she partners with a nearby farm raising one of the last flocks of a rare Newfoundland sheep breed. From her studio and its dyer's garden, she draws colour from the plants around her and shares this living heritage with every visitor.
