In 1989, baker Clément Perron and his brothers took over the reins of one of the oldest bakeries in Roberval, founded in 1896. A true institution, this bakery, which is located on the same site that saw its birth, is in the heart of Roberval’s historic downtown.
As the sole owner, Clément Perron gets up at dawn to put his hand to the dough and make his bread the old-fashioned way. From the choice of raw materials to the final product, Clément Perron masters the secrets of baking. No doubt inspired by the lineage of bakers who have succeeded him, Clément Perron is committed to making quality bread, while keeping with tradition. Between 400 and 500 loaves of bread come out of the ovens of this artisanal bakery every day.
It’s hard to resist the tempting smell of warm, fresh bread. You will also fall under the charm of baker Clément Perron, a skilled communicator who loves to talk about his craft. A visit gives you access to the production workshop and to the history of this food considered a staple food for humanity, as well as to various objects related to its manufacture.
Don’t miss the delights of the shop! The Perron bakery makes about 15 different types of bread, including the ever-popular milk sandwich bread. These products are freshly baked on site and contain no preservatives. In addition to the variety of breads, this bakery also makes some pastries.
