Le Bistreau d'érable is a family sugar shack where maple syrup and maple products are made. The sugar shack has been in existence since 1996 with its first decade being marked by the sound of boilers and a rather rustic work environment. The history of Bistreau d'érable begins with the Duquet family, Roland and Gilberthe. It is with them that France, Claude and Martin Sauvageau formed their first classes. Today, Le Bistreau still welcomes visitors for anything from a simple visit, to a meal or a traditional evening with musicians.
Le Bistreau d'érable is located in the heart of the Chaudière-Appalaches region. You will be enchanted by the natural setting that surrounds the business. During your visit, enjoy a good meal at the sugar shack, taste the products made on site and learn more about the history and production of maple. Also, it is possible to enjoy maple taffy all year round!
All maple products are made on site with maple syrup, certified organic by Ecocert Canada. At the sugar shack, you will be able to taste the products and buy dishes such as pea soup, bines and cretons, as well as complete meal boxes to take home.
