Upon completion of her studies, Làra began her career producing graphic artwork primarily using the most beautiful of noble materials, wood. It was by chance that she carved small figures of Icelandic birch. Smavinir is the name she gives to the objects she carves. Icelandic birch has a lot of character, partly because it grows crooked and is gnarled. Ever since their paths crossed, Làra has been in love with Icelandic birch and has used no other material.
Meet Làra in her workshop, see how she works the wood to make beautiful objects. Discover and understand where the designer's inspirations come from. You will be able to see the tools that are used during the carving process as well as the finished objects.
At the end of your visit, stop by the shop to see Lara's creations and treat yourself.
