Woodcarving is a traditional skill that, over the years, has risen to the level of decorating churches. The Côte-de-Beaupré region has seen the birth of several of these great creators such as Leblond de la Tour, Baillargé, Jobin and Paré. Françoise Lavoie and Scott Kingsland acquired the Atelier Paré more than thirty years ago. These two citizens who came from elsewhere have become so involved in the community that they are now recognized everywhere they go. The artists of the studio are constantly looking for ways to create and innovative, creating a cultural product that will appeal to visitors.
Upon entering, you will discover a reception area dedicated to the creator and master sculptor Alphonse Paré. You will be invited to observe and question the artists at work, on site, in the process of creation or production. They will be happy to explain their artistic process and let you touch and handle the wood and other materials.
During your visit, you will have the opportunity to spend some time in the shop. You will surely be amazed by the wide variety of decorative objects. You will also be able to obtain a biography of the master sculptor Alphonse Paré.
