Located in the boreal zone, in Hébertville, in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region, Ferme Tournevent is an organic production farm. A true success story in farm succession, Tournevent has adopted a vertical integration model. In addition to cultivating 800 hectares under organic management, the company has integrated agri-food processing into its operations.
The farm grows several varieties of canola, industrial hemp, camelina, golden and brown flax, buckwheat, yellow and soup peas, lentils, as well as garlic and garlic flower. In addition to its agricultural production, its facilities include a grain sorting and cleaning center.
By growing its own raw materials, Ferme Tournevent is able to offer products that meet the highest standards of quality and traceability. For producers Audrey Bouchard and Guillaume Dallaire, the addition of processing activities is part of a circular economy concept that ties in with Tournevent's sustainable development values.
Whether it's a visit to the Oilers ÉCONOMUSÉE®, where visitors delve deep into the history of this ancestral know-how, or the workshops offered by the farm, including the opportunity to create their own vial of oil from carefully selected grains, to press, filter and bottle them, every aspect of the experience is designed to showcase TournevenT's delicious oils. Visitors can also enjoy Tournevent's signature homemade oils and beverages, such as sobacha (buckwheat tea) or a festive aperitif made from the farm's own grains, in the outdoor garden or on the magnificent terrace with its breathtaking views over the fields.
In the boutique, discover a whole range of tasty 100% organic cold-pressed oils from raw hemp, golden flax, canola and camelina to enhance your salads or any other dish. Garlic flowers and grains are also available on site.
