The history of Island Chocolates Company begins with Victoria's Tea Room and Crafts, an early business started by Ron and Linda's family. When they wanted to move their business towards becoming more sustainable, they were assisted by Charlie Sigvardsen, owner of Charlie's Chocolate Factory. Charlie shared his knowledge, recipes and passion for chocolate with them. Through this mentorship, Linda and learned everything about the chocolate business. From hand-dipping chocolates to sourcing quality ingredients and calculating costs. This training has resulted in the chocolate factory as it is today, featuring quality craftsmanship and top-notch ingredients.
