The story of Les Brasseurs de Montebello is the story of a village that loves to get together and celebrate.
It all began when a few friends joined Alain Larivière in a convivial beer tasting. Before long, many of the village's residents were attending his increasingly popular events. Alain officially founded the "Les Biberons" beer-tasting club in 1995, which now boasts 350 members in the Outaouais region, as well as chapters in Alsace and Texas.
The idea of producing his own beers and owning a microbrewery was on Alain's mind for a long time. Patricia Pesant was quick to join the project, as were Linda and Luc Proulx. Over the years, Pierre Bédard, a devotee of good food and good beer, joined the group; an accountant is a handy ally in any organization!
The Pub officially opened its doors in 2016. Since then, Alain, the Master Brewer, has been spiritedly creating and brewing beers that tell the story of our Seigneurie's history and landscape, and showcase our local artists and the charitable activities dear to his heart. The wide range of beers produced is designed to bring microbrewery beers to every palate.
Since then, thousands of people from just about everywhere visit the Pub every year to enjoy a moment of relaxation. Brasseurs de Montebello beers are sold and enjoyed throughout Quebec and in parts of Europe, with plans for continued expansion and evolution.
