Since the mid-1970s, TUTL Records—the Faroese musicians' label—has played a central role in disseminating Faroese ethnic music and creating a platform for all genres of Faroese music.
Discover the ballad presented in dance form, a practise that became popular in the Faroes in the Middle Ages. The songs are grouped under the names "kvæði", "vísur" and "tættir". These three forms differ from each other in text content, rhythm, and melody.
